Queuing analysis is for production management is the analysis of external and internal business processes that include staffing, scheduling, and inventory levels using a set of mathematical formulas. I can see how this can be used in the service industry heavily. We use something similar to this at work but not so intense with a lot of formulas. We keep up with requests for changes of our documentation and in order to get these changes incorporated there is a coordination that is involved in order to get the change implemented into the document. We keep up with how many jobs come in, how long it takes to complete, how much work it will involve, and etc.

What is the function of a pilot study in process improvement and innovation?
